Luxurious Jar Refining and Elegant Outer Packaging for Cosmetic Products
In the cosmetics industry, packaging is a decisive factor in brand perception. Under the motto ‘Design and Sustainability meets Technology,’ KURZ, supplied locally by Synchron Markings, has developed a packaging concept that combines design aesthetics with material awareness and production efficiency in a luxurious and original way.
Innovative overall concept: The jar and outer packaging have been perfectly coordinated. The jar has been finished with ALUFIN® KPW XU, MAT: 10125759. The outer packaging has been lightly embossed and finished with COLORIT® hot stamping in terracotta and blue. The simple floral decoration on the outer packaging is reflected in a glossy version on the jar, creating a harmonious overall visual and tactile experience. The concept was presented for the first time at the LUXE PACK Monaco 2025 and K 2025 trade fairs, which took place at the end of September and beginning of October respectively.
LEONHARD KURZ develops holistic concepts for sustainable embellishment, beginning with the choice of materials and extending seamlessly into the design process.
- Inspiring, future-forward design concepts for cosmetics and outer packaging
- A vast spectrum of colours and effects with COLORIT®, suitable even for recycled paper substrates
- A distinctive metallic brilliance achieved with LUXOR® / ALUFIN® foils for cosmetic applications
- End-to-end support – from design idea to production – including expert advice on transfer products and machinery.
Jar Decoration with LUXOR® / ALUFIN®: Brilliant Shine and Metallic Wow Effects
For the design of the jar, KURZ Design Management created a floral, Asian-inspired design based on nature. Flowers and leaves surround the jar and captivate with the metallic shine of our LUXOR® / ALUFIN® decors. The natural, subtle colours were created by overprinting the previously embossed areas.

KURZ’s subsidiary ISIMAT, specialises in decorating hollow containers and conical hollow bodies such as tubes, jars and glasses. With its unique Conical inLINE FOILING technology, jars can be finished to almost 360º, as in this project – whether with partial metallic effects or full-surface, bold colours. A jar which is 100% bio-based from project partner Weimako was decorated. The jar is completely recyclable after use – including the decoration.
- The jar represents a new generation of products that combine environmental awareness, brand experience, and production efficiency
- High product quality, flexibility, and production efficiency guaranteed for different substrates and designs
- The ISIMAT I-series screen printing machine used efficiently combines digital printing processes with metallization in a single step
Embellished Outer Packaging with COLORIT®: Design with Responsibility
Good design is about more than just visual appeal at the point of sale – it’s about telling a story that responds to the realities of globalisation, automation and sustainability. In keeping with these evolving trends, KURZ Design Management Packaging and Print has created a refined Asian-inspired floral design for the outer packaging, perfectly complementing the product jar. Finished with COLORIT® hot stamping, the result is a sophisticated balance of subtle muted tones and luxurious tactile detailing, delivering a truly high-end aesthetic experience.

For quick visualisation, KURZ Design Management used its in-house software DREAMCOMPOSER®. This allowed breathtaking digital 3D visualisations to be created in no time at all. The effects and colours of the design can be realistically displayed and checked using the software.
- Thanks to comprehensive trend research, the concepts and designs of KURZ Design Management are always in tune with the latest trends
- COLORIT® products combine brilliant colours, and appealing haptics
- Attention to detail and precise embellishment of Sappi’s recyclable Algro Volume cardboard using a hot stamping process with a stamping tool from KURZ subsidiary H+M.
